Programme of Events
When?
The event took place on Saturday 7th July 07.07.07 10am-6pm.
Where?
It took place in Cotesbach, in the Manor Paddock, the Stable Yard, on the Village Green, Elmdene Field and in the central section of the village street (this was pedestrianised for the duration (except for emergency vehicles)). Both the Church and the Village Hall were open.
What?
The programme included a symbolic re-enactment involving the meeting of walking groups from Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire and speakers from the environmental movement on the subject of the land, food, energy, climate change and the next 400 years

11.00 Newton Rebels Pageant We are really fortunate to have a performance of the historic " NEWTON REBELS PAGEANT" by villagers and children from Geddington for Cotesbach 777: this has been written & produced by John Padwick, about the Midlands Revolt specially for our joint Quattrocentenary
12.00 Arrival of Walking Groups and Speakers including :Fiona Reynolds , Director General, National Trust;Graham Harvey , We Want Real Food;Tony Gosling , TLIO (The Land is Ours) and Eco Villages UK, and we're still hoping to find somebody to talk on the subject of today's enclosures equivalent: land rights in the developing world.

Garden Organic/Organic Food for All (formerly HDRA) is the UKs largest charity for organic gardening, farming and food. Organic Food for All is its community programme to help people grow their own food. OFfA provides renovated tools to these growers through partnership with Tools for Self Reliance. www.gardenorganic.org.uk (Northampton).
LIVING HISTORY demonstrations throughout the different sites will include : pottery and blacksmithing, wattle and daub wall building, cookery, herbalism and woodworking, spinning, dyeing and weaving, shoemaking and character interpretation, 17th Century minstrels
