VENUE
The Paddock
The Woodland
The lovely 'Home Close'paddock is steeped in history - it was the Victorian tennis court back in the day (very useful as it's nice and flat for our marquee) and it's home to one of the oldest trees on the Estate, the Ash Tree which has survived being struck by lightning, twice. It was our original venue for parties in the early noughties - just a very relaxed open space with a great backdrop of the house.
Nestled in the woodland surrounding the arable and ridge and furrow, there is a ring of old oak trees creating a perfect clearing under the canopy. An intimate spot for a humanist ceremony or for an off grid party. There's plenty of space to play.
The Drawing Room
The Gardens
Seating up to 55 guests, the Drawing Room is newly licensed for 2017 to hold civil marriages and ceremonies. It's a bit of a time warp having been pretty much untouched for many years. Huge windows overlook the lawn and church and the French doors lead you out directly into the garden for drinks under the Whitebeam tree.
The gardens have a wild, unruly elegance and hide many pockets of loveliness for you to explore.
There are endless photography opportunities, or you can just enjoy a drink on the lawn, or a big game of
hide & seek...
FOOD & DRINK
Food
We're proud to do the catering in-house - and it makes sense because we grow so much fruit & veg here in our walled garden, and Jason the butcher rears his meat just over the road.
We can offer the whole lot, from canapes down to cheeseboard & evening meals. Our wedding breakfasts are big delicious buffets of which there are many options, hot or cold. And if you want to see something in particular on the menu, we can make it happen. It's a movable feast.
Drinks
We're pretty experienced at running bars having been running the music festival here for nearly fifteen years. We can provide a fully stocked bar (you can even make suggestions!) and unlike other venues, won't charge you corkage. Our prices are fair, and our drinks are cold.
DECORATIONS & FLOWERS
Flowers
Our flowers are simple and elegant collections of what's in the garden, and nature always throws us plenty of colours to play with. We can put together big centre pieces for each table, adorn arches with flowers & ivy and even dry petals to use as confetti.
Decorations
Leaving no stone unturned, we will make your wedding look beautiful. Lots of lights & hanging lanterns, flags, greenery, beautiful table arrangements, the list goes on. If you're looking for matching chair covers and bows, we're probably not the venue for you. Your wedding deserves to be different.
EVENT MANAGEMENT
Just to take the pressure off, Olivia will be on hand throughout the planning of your wedding to help with anything you need. So that instead of turning up on the day tired out from making wedding favors at midnight, you can be fresh & relaxed in the knowledge that things are taken care of.

CAMPING
Cotesbach Bell Tents
You can now roll into a comfy bed once the party’s over, just a few metres from the main reception. Our bell tents sleep two and are equipped with mattresses, duvets and pillows, lighting and soft furnishings. Bell tents can be booked by guests in advance and will be all ready on the morning of your wedding. We even have a larger bell tent which can be made up as the comfiest of bridal suites.
